The watercolor set

It took a few weeks of thinking about it but I finally did it. I paid $175 for a set of MaimeriBlu 24 pan watercolours. Like the blank vast white square of a new sheet of expensive paper I feel the fear of cracking them open and using them. It would be good if I had a decent drawing first but the fear of using the colours is making me quite unsure of where to start. The elf motif just seems too silly to place my first blaze of colour. So I began by using the provided swatch card to get used to them. A tiny drop of colour was all I needed. I think i am ready...
